Can I assemble that with an Allen wrench?

Everything here reminds me of Ikea. Just very compact, well-thought and effiicient. They make the most of their space. For example:

Some of the construction trailers outside my hotel room (sorry for the picture quality)

We left the hotel at 7am yesterday and got back at 11:30pm. I get the feeling this is kind of how the days will go. So, as I thought this blog may will just have to be updated when it can be, Dad :)

We started the day with some introductions and then some stereotype presentations from each country. They were very funny and a great way to break the ice. We then had Schneider's formal training on talking to the media. Of course, I got picked on out of the crowd to do one of the examples. This was not a voluntary thing. :) However, everyone seems very outgoing, we are having very little language barriers and I'm really pleased to see that everyone is inter-mingling and not sticking with their comfort zone.

We were running behind so we had 15 minutes for lunch and then had to jump on a bus out to Feller. This is a family company that was acquired by Schneider about 5 years back. We were able to get a plant tour, which everything is assembled on this Swiss site, and then had a presentation from the Switzerland country president for Schneider. It was a very open forum. We discussed the Schneider brand migration, managerial style, personal vs work balance. There really was no topic that was off limits. I wouldn't mind working out of this facility given that this is their view:

Then we headed to dinner with the Swiss management team. We had Zürigschnätzlets. Which is very famous in Zurich. It was tasty, but I'm not sure I would choose that over a steak if given the choice. By the time it came to dessert, I was just trying to not fall asleep in my mousse. I didn't realize how tired I was but to be fair to me, it had been a long day and I'm sure I was still jet lagged. Here is the view from dinner:

I'm sure there are tons of typos but I have to head down for breakfast. We're leaving at 7:30am to head to OYW's first day. I was told at one point today we would be on a boat on the river and one point we will be doing the OYW's opening ceremonies, I'm not sure if the two coincide. Dinner after opening ceremonies and it sounds like we will be home about midnight.
